Portuguese centre-forward, André Silva, currently playing for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, Germany, is reportedly on the radar for a possible transfer to SV Werder Bremen.
At present, both teams are neck-to-neck in the league, with 51 points each, securing 7th and 8th place respectively.
Silva, who has a market value of €4.00m (approximately 30 million DKK), has had a modest performance this season, featuring in 7 matches, scoring once and providing 2 assists. Despite this, his experience and physical presence, standing at 185cm and 84kg, could make him a valuable asset to Werder Bremen.
The 29-year-old striker, full name André Miguel Valente da Silva, is under contract with RB Leipzig until 30.06.2026. However, with the transfer window closing on August 31, there is still time for negotiations to take place.
It remains to be seen whether this transfer will materialize, but it certainly adds an interesting dimension to the Bundesliga’s competitive landscape. As always, the key will be how well the player can adapt to a new team and contribute to their success.
