Swiss right-back Zachary Athekame, currently playing for BSC Young Boys in Switzerland’s Super League, may be on the move to Serie A’s AC Milan.
The 20-year-old defender has shown impressive form this season, with 30 appearances, two assists, and a solid defensive record contributing to Young Boys’ current third-place standing in the Super League.
Despite not finding the back of the net this season, Athekame’s defensive prowess and attacking contributions from the back have caught the eye of AC Milan. The Italian club, currently sitting in 8th place in Serie A, could greatly benefit from a young, energetic player like Athekame to bolster their defensive ranks and possibly improve their league position.
With a market value of around €5.00m (approximately 37.3 million DKK), Athekame could be a valuable addition to AC Milan’s squad. However, any possible transfer would have to wait until the transfer window reopens on January 1st or July 1st. With today’s date being August 13, 2025, it will be interesting to see how this potential move develops in the coming months.
