Nikola Krstović, the 25-year-old Centre-Forward from Montenegro, currently playing for US Lecce in Italy’s Serie A, is reportedly on the radar of Atalanta BC.
With his market value standing at approximately 112 million DKK, the potential transfer could see a significant financial transaction between the two clubs.
This season, Krstović has made 37 appearances for Lecce, scoring 11 goals and providing 5 assists. Despite his commendable individual performance, Lecce has been struggling, currently sitting in 17th place in the league with 34 points.
On the other hand, Atalanta is enjoying a successful season, occupying the 3rd spot in Serie A with 74 points, which qualifies them for the Champions League. The addition of Krstović could bolster their attacking options and potentially elevate their performance in the upcoming season.
The transfer window, which opened on July 1, closes on August 31, leaving just over a week for the clubs to finalise the deal. It remains to be seen whether Atalanta will secure the services of the Montenegrin forward, who stands at 185 cm and weighs 83 kg, before the window shuts.
