Iranian centre-forward, Mehdi Taremi, currently playing for Inter in Italy’s Serie A, could be on his way to OGC Nice in France’s Ligue 1.
The 33-year-old, valued at €3.50m (approximately 26 million DKK), has had a decent season with Inter, scoring once and providing two assists in 26 matches.
Inter is currently second in Serie A with 81 points, which places them in the Champions League league phase. Meanwhile, Nice is in fourth place in Ligue 1 with 60 points, putting them in the Champions League qualification stage. A move for Taremi could bolster Nice’s attacking options as they aim to secure a place in the Champions League.
At 185 cm and 82 kg, Taremi brings physical presence and experience to the front line. His contract with Inter is set to expire on 30th June 2027. However, with today’s date being August 31, 2025, a move could be imminent as the transfer window is due to close.
While the decision is yet to be confirmed, the potential transfer could prove beneficial for both the player and OGC Nice, offering Taremi a new challenge and Nice an experienced forward.
