Andy Diouf, the 22-year-old central midfielder currently playing for RC Lens in France’s Ligue 1, is rumoured to be heading for a significant move to Serie A’s Inter Milan.
Born in France but also holding Senegalese nationality, Diouf has been instrumental in Lens’ current position of 8th in Ligue 1 with 52 points.
This season, Diouf has played 34 matches, scored one goal, and provided two assists. With a height of 187 cm and weight of 82 kg, his physical presence in the midfield is undeniable. His market value is estimated to be around €15.00m, roughly 112 million DKK, although the final transfer fee could vary.
Inter Milan, also currently occupying the 8th place in their respective league, Serie A, with 63 points, could greatly benefit from Diouf’s robust midfield presence. The Italian club will likely be looking to bolster their squad during the upcoming transfer window, which opens on July 1 and closes on August 31.
However, any potential move for Diouf will not be immediate as his contract with RC Lens does not expire until June 30, 2028. Both clubs would need to agree on a transfer fee for the move to happen outside of the contract expiry. It will be interesting to see how this potential transfer unfolds in the coming weeks.
