Rumours are circulating that 24-year-old centre-forward Nicolas Jackson could be on the move from Chelsea FC to Newcastle United.
Jackson, of Senegalese and Gambian descent, has had a strong season with Chelsea, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists in 30 matches.
Both Chelsea and Newcastle are currently in the top five of the Premier League, with Chelsea in 4th place with 69 points and Newcastle just behind in 5th place with 66 points. A transfer could see Jackson playing Champions League football with either club.
Jackson’s market value stands at €50.00m, which converts to approximately 372 million DKK, a significant investment for any club. However, with his contract set to expire in June 2033, Chelsea may be willing to negotiate a deal.
The transfer window, which opened on July 1, will close on August 31, leaving clubs with just a few weeks to finalise their squads for the upcoming season. It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will make their move to secure Jackson’s services during this period.
