Mads Bidstrup, the 24-year-old central midfielder for Nottingham Forest, is potentially on the move to RB Salzburg.
The Danish international, currently valued at €10.00m (approximately 74.5 million DKK), has been a key player for Nottingham Forest, who are sitting comfortably in 7th place in the Premier League with 65 points.
RB Salzburg, currently in 2nd place in the Austrian Bundesliga with 38 points, are reportedly interested in acquiring Bidstrup. The Austrian club, who have secured a place in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, are keen to strengthen their midfield as they prepare for the demands of the European competition.
The transfer could take place during the current transfer window, which closes on August 31. However, the deal is subject to negotiation between the two clubs and the player. It is not yet known whether Nottingham Forest is willing to let go of their midfielder, or if Bidstrup is open to a move to Austria.
It’s worth noting that the potential transfer does not involve Carlos Miguel dos Santos Pereira, the 27-year-old Brazilian who hasn’t played any matches this season for Salzburg. Pereira’s lack of game time could be a factor in Salzburg’s pursuit of Bidstrup.
