Matthijs de Ligt, the 25-year-old centre-back from the Netherlands, may be on the move from his current club, Juventus, to Al-Hilal SFC in the Saudi Pro League.
De Ligt, who has been a key figure in Juventus’ defence, has helped the team secure 4th place in Serie A with 70 points, a position that qualifies them for the Champions League League phase.
De Ligt’s current market value is estimated at €38.00m, which converts to roughly 283 million DKK, a significant investment for any club. The transfer could potentially take place in the upcoming transfer window, which opens on January 1 and closes on January 31, or during the summer window from July 1 to August 31.
This move could see De Ligt playing alongside the likes of Renato da Palma Veiga, the 22-year-old Portuguese player who has already made 13 appearances this season for Al-Hilal SFC, providing one assist.
It should be noted that any transfer would be subject to agreement between Juventus and Al-Hilal SFC, and the player himself. As of now, there are no official statements from either club regarding this potential transfer.
