Austrian centre-forward Michael Gregoritsch, currently playing for SC Freiburg in Germany’s Bundesliga, could be on the move to Bröndby IF, a top-tier club in Denmark’s Superliga.
Gregoritsch, 31, has had a solid season with Freiburg, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 20 matches.
Freiburg currently sits in 5th place in the Bundesliga, a position that grants them a spot in the Europa League. Conversely, Bröndby is in 3rd place in the Superliga, which qualifies them for the Europa Conference League. A transfer could see Gregoritsch swapping a higher tier competition for a lower one, but it might offer him a fresh challenge.
The transfer window is currently open until August 31, so there is a possibility that the move could happen soon. Gregoritsch’s current market value is approximately €3.00m, which translates to around 20 million DKK, considering a little variance. His contract with Freiburg is set to expire on June 30, 2026. It will be interesting to see how this potential transfer unfolds in the coming days.
