Spanish left-back Álex Moreno could be on the brink of a move from Aston Villa to Girona FC.
The 32-year-old defender, currently plying his trade in England’s Premier League, has been a solid presence for Villa this season, featuring in 15 matches and providing a crucial assist.
Girona FC, a competitive side in LaLiga, is reportedly interested in acquiring Moreno’s services. The defender’s market value is estimated to be around €7.00m, which is approximately 52m DKK, although the final transfer fee could be a few million less.
Moreno, whose full name is Alexandre Moreno Lopera, has a contract with Aston Villa until June 30, 2026. However, with the transfer window closing on August 31, a move back to his home country could be imminent. Standing at 179 cm and weighing 68 kg, Moreno’s experience and physicality could be a valuable addition to Girona’s squad.
