Kosovan right winger, Edon Zhegrova, currently playing for LOSC Lille in France’s Ligue 1, is reportedly set for a possible transfer to Olympique Marseille.
At 26, Zhegrova has demonstrated his prowess on the field this season, having played 12 matches, scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist.
Currently, Lille is in 5th place in Ligue 1 with 60 points, placing them in the UEFA Europa League. Meanwhile, Marseille is sitting comfortably in 2nd place with 65 points, qualifying them for the Champions League. The potential move for Zhegrova could see him playing at a higher level of competition.
Zhegrova’s market value stands at €25.00m, which converts to approximately 186.5 million DKK, accounting for a slight variance. Given the player’s contract with Lille expires on 30th June 2026, the upcoming transfer window, which opens on 1st January and closes on 31st January, could witness some interesting negotiations. However, if a deal is not struck by then, there is another opportunity when the window reopens on 1st July and closes on 31st August.
The transfer, if it goes through, could prove beneficial for both Zhegrova and Marseille, enhancing the player’s career and bolstering the club’s attacking options.
