German left winger, Timo Werner, 29, is rumoured to be on the move from his current club, RB Leipzig, to Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls.
Currently valued at €7.00m, which is approximately 52m DKK, Werner has been a key player for Leipzig, who are currently sitting in 7th place in the Bundesliga with 51 points.
With the transfer window closing on August 31, the clock is ticking for the Red Bulls to secure this potential deal. Werner’s contract with RB Leipzig is set to expire on June 30, 2026, which could mean a significant payout for the Bundesliga club should the transfer go through.
In the meantime, RB Leipzig has a promising player in Xavier Quentin Shay Simons. The 22-year-old Dutch player has already made a significant impact this season, having played 25 matches, scored 10 goals, and provided 6 assists. At 179 cm tall and weighing 58 kg, he could be a strong replacement for Werner should the transfer materialise.
While the transfer is not yet confirmed, the potential move of Werner to the New York Red Bulls could significantly shake up both the Bundesliga and MLS landscapes.
