Centre-back Adrian Rus, aged 29, could be on the verge of a move from Pisa to UC Sampdoria.
Currently plying his trade in Italy’s Serie A with Pisa, Rus, who holds dual nationality of Romania and Hungary, is reportedly being eyed by Sampdoria, a club competing in Serie B.
Despite the difference in league status, the potential move could be appealing for Rus. Sampdoria, despite currently languishing in 18th place in Serie B and facing relegation, is a club with a rich history and potential for a quick return to the top tier. Furthermore, the transfer could offer Rus a fresh challenge and an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a club’s revival.
Rus, who has a market value of €1.20m (approximately 8.9 million DKK), is under contract with Pisa until June 30, 2026. However, with the transfer window closing on August 31, Sampdoria will need to act swiftly to secure his services.
