Mexican defensive midfielder, Edson Álvarez, could potentially be on the move from Premier League side West Ham to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.
At 27 years old, Álvarez has become a key figure at West Ham, having made 28 appearances this season and providing one assist, despite the club’s current 14th place standing in the league.
Standing at 187 cm and weighing 73 kg, the Mexican international has a commanding presence on the pitch. His current market value stands at €25.00m, which equates to approximately 186 million DKK, after accounting for some variance.
The timing of this potential transfer is crucial. With the transfer window closing on 31st August, Fenerbahce would need to act swiftly to secure Álvarez’s services. The player’s contract with West Ham doesn’t expire until 30th June 2028, which could be a stumbling block in negotiations.
