Renato Sanches, the 28-year-old Portuguese central midfielder currently playing for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in France’s Ligue 1, may be on the move to Panathinaikos in Greece’s Super League 1.
Despite PSG’s current top position in Ligue 1, boasting 84 points, and Panathinaikos holding the 2nd spot in Super League 1 with 59 points, the potential transfer is a hot topic in the football world.
Sanches’ current market value stands at €3.00m, which translates to roughly 22.35 million Danish krone, considering the current exchange rate and a slight variance. It’s a significant investment for Panathinaikos, but one that could potentially pay off given Sanches’ experience and skill set.
This season, Sanches hasn’t seen much action on the field with no matches played, goals scored, or assists provided. Standing at 176 cm and weighing 70 kg, the Portuguese international brings a physical presence to the midfield. With the transfer window closing on August 31, it will be interesting to see if this transfer materialises.
Sanches’ contract with PSG is set to expire on June 30, 2027. Whether he will see out his contract or make a move to Greece is a question only time will answer.
