French centre-forward Olivier Giroud, currently playing for Los Angeles FC in the MLS, is rumoured to be in discussions for a potential move to Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille.
At 38 years old, Giroud still has a market value of €1.50m, which is approximately 11.2 million DKK.
This transfer, if it happens, would occur during the current transfer window that opened on July 1 and closes on August 31. The player’s contract with Los Angeles FC does not expire until December 31, 2025, which implies that a fee would likely be involved in the transfer.
LOSC Lille, currently in 5th place in Ligue 1 with 60 points, could greatly benefit from Giroud’s experience and skills in their bid to secure a spot in the UEFA Europa League.
While the transfer is not yet confirmed, the potential move of Giroud back to his home country’s top-flight league would certainly be an interesting development in this transfer window.
